Our Mission
Our mission to Feed the Frontline Heroes BN is two-fold. It is about fueling the extraordinary efforts of our city’s health and safety workers who are selflessly giving of themselves to fight this pandemic from the frontlines while in tandem, supporting our local restaurants and their employees who are working hard to keep their business operational during the strain of COVID-19.
Our Goal
Our initial goal of $20,000 will provide 2,000 meals for our local heroes. With your help we can not only meet but exceed this goal!
Our Story
Feeding Frontline Heroes BN started when a group of Real Estate professionals from the MIRA Young Professionals Network Group came together looking for a way to continue their mission of service work while still maintaining their social distance during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Staying at home, while being the right thing to do, left us feeling helpless, like there was more we could be and should be doing with the gifts we have to give back to this community that we love and serve. There just had to be a way to share that love with the heroes of Bloomington-Normal who were risking their health & safety every day so that we had the ability to be safe at home. There had to be a way we could rally the real estate industry to show our appreciation, and that way was to share the love by sharing a meal.

The Grand Cafe has been serving home-style Chinese-American cuisine since 1921. Their recipes, cooking methods, and menus have been handed down for generations. Grand Cafe has been a cornerstone in our community and has been recognized for its outstanding cuisine, excellent service, and friendly staff.
Annie's Eats

Annie's Eats is a small local BBQ establishment that started off doing Kansas City Barbecue Society competitions ll across the Midwest for more than a decade. After taking home numerous First, second, and third place prizes in dozens of different competitions they decided to make it official. In July of 2018 they opened their location on Clinton St. with a goal of bringing the love we have for food and family and sharing it with others. Specializing in carry out and catering, Annie's Eats is partnering with us to provide a selection of warm, delicious meals, safely individually packaged and delivered to our frontline heroes.

This is where YOU come in - every $10 you donate provides 1 hot meal for a Frontline Hero and helps cover wage and tips for the restaurant employees.
Together we will make a difference in the lives of our community heroes who tirelessly risk their health & safety in order to protect ours!
